What is Ultra High Resolution LCD?
Today, more and more LCD displays are being applied in the industrial area. But for special applications, the original LCD display can't keep up with new display technology, especially in the areas where image quality is imperative, such as signage, military, and control centers.
The new generation LCD display is replaced by the Ultra-High Resolution (UHD) solution, full UHD, providing genuinely high image quality and detail for essential data, video, and picture. Here we will introduce the difference between UHD and Full HD.
UHD vs. Full HD
Ultra High Definition (UHD) is also called 4K/2K resolution. This is 3840 x 2160 resolution which is four times from Full HD. And the total pixels are eight megapixels in comparison with Full HD, which only has 2 megapixels. In short, UHD can offer better image quality and keep the image details.Compare to full HD, the UHD has several advantages:

High Resolution Interface
To support a high-resolution image, it has to use the correct interface. Here are several conditions for each interface.
- D-SUB: The max resolution for D-SUB is Full HD.
- DVI: Only use Dual-Channel DVI cable can support UHD at 30Hz.
- HDMI: Only use HDMI 1.4 compatible device and cable can support UHD at 30Hz.
- Display Port: Based on DP 1.2, compatible device and cable can fully support UHD at 60Hz.
